HOW TO MEASURE

  1. Use a sheet of wax paper under the measuring cup or spoon, to make clean up easier.
  2. The measuring equipment you will need the following tools:

                 A glass or clear plastic 1 – 2 cup measuring cup (for liquids)

                Measuring cups that hold 1, 1/2, 1/3, and 1/4 cup (for dry ingredients)

                Measuring spoons that hold 1, 1/2 tablespoon, 1, 1/2,1/4, and 1/8 teaspoon

      3. To properly use a Liquid measuring cup you must:

      4. Put the glass cup onto a flat surface.  Slowly pour the liquid into the cup.  When you think that the liquid has                      reached the right measurement, couch down so that your eye is at eye level with the mark on the cup to make sure            it is even.

     5. To properly use a Dry measuring cup you must:

     6. Use the proper size according to the recipe.  Place a cup on a flat surface.  Fill the cup up with the dry food item.                Then take a knife or spatula, and take the flat surface and to level off the top.

    7. To properly use a measuring spoon you must: 

         Follow the same steps as if you were to use a dry measuring cup.
